GoPHP is now named QIQ
On May 6, 2024, I made the first commit for my PHP engine, which was named "GoPHP" at the time. The new name is now "QIQ".
New name
"GoPHP" was a practical name that contained the language it is written in and the language it implements.
Now 16 months later the new name "QIQ" is a abbreviation for "Quick Interpreter for Quasi-PHP".
With its own icon
A logo is one important part of creating a brand identity.
Like the PHP logo, this logo is also an animal.
The stripes indicate the execution speed it will hopefully have in the future. :)
